Mariana Scanholato

Mariana Scanholato's work celebrates the feminine, seeking a connection between subjectivity and the body. Her characters explore human emotions, capturing all the charm, challenge and drama of this universe. 

Psychologist, graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and psychoanalyst in her work, Mariana has always been interested in what is most subjective and peculiar in each person. 

Self-taught in the plastic arts, Mariana's style is strongly influenced by contemporary photography, by psychology and by her experiences as a woman, mother and artist, forming a narrative that discusses what is most human in her art.
