Ceramicists Jessica Martins and José Alberto Bahia create their ceramics using shells and seeds of Brazilian origin or that are already part of our culture. Details and particularities of each shell or seed are placed in the moulds, and after the first firing of the clay pieces, they are subjected to the application of glazes produced in the studio from a mixture of minerals or plant ashes. For the best final results, a small layer of iron oxide is applied to the outside of the ceramics, which are then returned to the kiln where they are fired at a high temperature. Beautiful pieces that differ in their originality and colours.
