Master Mário Teles, considered one of the living masters of popular sculpture in Brazil, works mainly with folkloric themes from the state of Minas Gerais, his main characteristic and compositions inhabited by musicians, workers, priests and mythical figures from the popular imaginary.

The artisan uses raw wood to carve his unique sculptures, taken from the imagination of the creator. All sculptures are made in a single block of noble wood, without seams and maintaining the natural colour of the wood. Son of Geraldo Teles de Oliveira (GTO), a nationally and internationally recognized craftsman.
