The pair of ceramists Jessica Martins and José Alberto Bahia, search for the shapes for their ceramics in Brazilian fruits and seeds. From these they make a mould which is then used to copy the piece in white clay. After an initial firing in an electric kiln, a homemade colour of minerals or ash is applied. For a better end result, a small layer of iron oxide is applied to the outside of the piece, which returns to the oven where it is fired at a high temperature. Beautiful pieces that differ in originality and colours.
